John Patrick Williams (born October 30, 1937) is a former Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from the state of Montana during the years 1979 to 1997. Williams attended the University of Montana in Missoula, William Jewell College and the University of Denver, Colorado, earning a B.A. In 1961–1969 he was a member of the National Guard in Colorado and Montana and was a teacher in Butte, Montana.

Real Estate Broker @ Engel & Volkers. Sabrina has 10+ years of property management and real estate sales experience. Specializing in investment properties, acquisitions and first-time home buyer programs! Sabrina was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Montana in 1993 to embark on an unknown adventure! She found herself settling down in the Bitterroot Valley where she raised two amazing children Christopher and Lexi. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves spending time on the Bitterroot River with her husband Sean. Sabrina is a person of many talents and loves what she does!

 

April 24, 2018 at 1:30 – 2:30 PM – Ted Heuchling –

Investment Advisor Representative, Portfolio Logix LLC. Ted Heuchling is a local businessman, who migrated to Montana from the East Coast, shortly after being introduced to the state by a friend in the mid-70’s, having spent the winter working (and skiing) at Big Mountain, in Whitefish. He has an engineering degree and a business degree, and has spent time working in different places in both fields, though most of his career has been as an Investment Advisor Representative, here in Missoula. He has just completed a 15th year running an independent investment practice, Portfolio Logix, LLC. He has four children and three grandchildren, all in Missoula, so there is never a dull moment. His favorite spare time activities are outdoors, and keep him moving: skiing, biking, boating, and you name it!

May 1, 2018 at 1:30 – 2:30PM – Brook Hodge – Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Supervisor

Brook Hodge is currently the Counselor Supervisor for Montana Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services (MVRBS) in Missoula. Brook graduated from Butte High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Montana, obtained her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Utah State University, and received two Post Graduate Certifications in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Youth in Transition from the University of Maryland.

Brook has been employed with the State of Montana for 18 years. She was employed as a Child Protection Worker for five years prior to starting her employment with MVRBS. Brook was recently appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council by Governor Bullock and is excited to work with a leadership team to improve services for Montana’s with disabilities.

Brook lives in Missoula with her husband, two children, St. Bernard and cat. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and community events, traveling, and watching Netflix.

Co-Founder of Submittable. Troubleshooter, filmmaker, inventor. Bruce has held technical positions including the CTO at a variety of companies, from small startups (Actioneer, Preclick) to large corporations (Borland, Oracle, Autodesk). Designed a lighting system used on NASA’s Space Station.

 

May 15, 2018 at 1:30 – 2:30 PM – Bob Jaffe –

Bob is the founder and head of Cedar Mountain Software. He began his IT professional career in 1992 with a Jaffe Computer Services flyer printed off at home. He then went from door to door in downtown Missoula. His clients loved his honesty and strong work ethic. Jaffe Computer Services merged into Lantel Integrated Solutions for several years and then back to Jaffe Computer Services as the industry shifted dramatically in the mid-1990s.

With the internet taking on a dominant role in modern business, Bob reached out of basic computer support into custom programming and database design. And so in 2002, he developed Cedar Mountain Software with a focus on web-based solutions for businesses. While adding clients and employees to the company, Bob has kept an eye on the future of the consistently evolving tech world and his focus on helping real people.

Bob served on the Missoula City Council from 2006 – 2013 and created the popular Missoulagov.org blog. He enjoys his busy life raising three boys with his wife and goofy little dog.

 

May 22, 2018 at 1:30 – 2:30PM – Tom Swenson –

Founder and Owner, Bank of Montana and Bancorp of Montana Holding Company. Tom is an entrepreneur who founded Bank of Montana and is now its President and CEO. Prior to founding Bank of Montana, Tom founded Montana Business Capital Corporation in 1998; the company that now owns Bank of Montana. Tom is a former Director of the Federal Reserve and is a charter member of the Montana Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs (MADE). Tom has a B.S. from the University of Montana with an emphasis in Accounting, an M.B.A., and is a graduate of the prestigious Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.

June 5, 2018 at 1:30 – 2:30 PM – John Thee –

John Thee is the Chief Operating Officer at CLEARAS Water Recovery, Inc, a company specializing in the sustainable treatment of waste water using algae.  In this role, John oversees all operational issues including Commercial Development, Application Engineering, Project Delivery and Service Delivery for CLEARAS.  John holds a B.S. in International Relations from the United States Military Academy and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.  Prior to joining CLEARAS, John was a Vice President with the Washington Corporations.  Prior to his business career, John served as infantry officer with the U.S. Army holding several operational and command positions within the Army’s Airborne and Cavalry communities.  After leaving the Army, John joined the Dallas office of McKinsey & Company where he worked as an associate and engagement manager serving clients in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Media & Entertainment, Retail, Telecom, and Electric Power and Natural Gas sectors.
